Festival Highlights

Beer Bacon Music is an all ages festival featuring some of the best things in life: cold beer, hot bacon, live music, awesome interactive lawn games, and unique food and merch vendors…set in an expansive outdoor area where you can kick-back and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air…just steps away from Downtown Frederick. What’s not to love?

BEER: A variety of incredibly tasty craft beers on tap will be available for you to sample for 1 penny each (see details below), or enjoy a full 12 oz pour for 5 bucks. Rub elbows with representatives from many of the breweries, and learn more about their brews and their culture. We’ll have everything from easy-going pilsners to smack-you-in-the face IPAs, plus a selection of rare beers tapped throughout the day (while it lasts folks!). Check out the beer here >

BACON: The Bacon Bar will have 2-tons of bacon for the pickin’ (and all that bacon goodness is included in your ticket price). To accommodate all you bacon lovers, you’ll be served a sampling of the bacon varieties. Come back and enjoy the bacon bar as many times as you’d like. MUSIC: We have some rocking’ bands joining us this year. Check back soon to see a full list of bands and musical acts! There’s just nothing better than listening to live music in the fresh festival air.

GAME ZONE: New this year! We’ve added a fun, interactive component to enhance your festival experience…games and entertainment. We’ll have Knocker Ball (the latest rage), corn hole, giant jenga and more. Check out the fun >

FAQs

What can I expect, and what should I bring?

Once you park your car (parking fees may apply, and vary by location - see below), you’ll enter the festival gates. When you enter the festival please have your printed ticket, or be ready with your ticket pulled up on your mobile device. You will need to provide your ID (see requirements below) so that you can receive a “beer sampling/drinker” wristband. “Beer sampling/drinker” wristbands will not be issued to those under 21, or those who purchased a non-drinker/designated driver ticket. You may not sample or purchase alcohol without the”beer sampling/drinker” wristband. Once you’re through the gate, you’ll be at liberty to enjoy everything the festival has to offer!

Additional Event Details:

• There will be a variety of incredibly tasty craft beers from many different breweries. Samples are 1 penny each, all proceeds go to charity — DON’T FORGET YOUR PENNIES!
• 12 oz pours for $5
• Beer purchases must be completed with cash only, and ATMs will be available throughout the festival
• No outside food or drink allowed into the festival
• Rain or shine, no refunds on ticket purchases
• You may bring strollers and folding camping/lawn chairs (no pop-up tents)
• Parking for the Frederick, MD event will be $5 (run by one of the local Boy Scouts troops)
• Bring sunscreen!
• ALL AGES EVENT: Kids 10 & under are free. Ages 11 & up, as well as designated drivers and non-drinkers must purchase the “Non-Drinkers/Designated Drivers Ticket”

What type of ID is required?

You will be required to present a valid ID at the entry gate to receive a “beer sampling/drinker” wristband. (Acceptable IDs are a Valid State Drivers License, US Passport, or Military ID. Additionally, out of state ID holders will need to present a second form of identification, i.e. credit card or bank card with the name matching their ID on it.)

What’s up with the “penny samples”?

RAID YOUR PIGGY BANKS! If you purchase the “Penny Beer Sampling” regular admission ticket or the “Early Bird VIP” ticket, you’ll be able to sample the many beers of your choice for only 1 penny each. Every penny (100% of the penny sample proceeds) will be given to local nonprofit organizations.
